Membership

 MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO 

• General public service 
• Staff of the Office of the Auditor –General 
• Staff of Kenyatta National Hospital 
• All independent public office and Commissions
• Government Parastatals 
• All Government Ministries and State Departments
• County Government

 HOW TO JOIN

1. Complete application form for vetting by the Board
2. Complete beneficiary Nomination form
3. Complete burial benevolent fund form
4. Provide a copy of ID or Valid Passport, copy of Most current Payslip, copy of KRA PIN certificate and provide a colored passport size photograph

Make initial contribution consisting of 

• Non- refundable registration fee of Ksh. 2,000
• Initial Minimum Member Deposit per month of Kshs. 2000 towards savings
• Share Capital of Kshs. 20,000 minimum and maximum of Kshs. 500,000- This refers to the amount paid by the members as unit of ownership in the Sacco. The amount is not withdrawable nor refundable even one ceases to be a member. It can only be transferred to another member.

After joining 

• Member is required to contribute a minimum of Kshs. 2,000 per month 
• According to Sacco by-laws and Sasra regulations, partial withdrawal in not allowed. A member can only access their funds through borrowing or termination of membership.

 MEMBER CESSATION

In case a member wants to terminate membership; the procedure is as follows:

1. A member must give written Notice.
2. Fill in an exit questionnaire form
3. No member shall be allowed to withdraw from the Sacco membership unless
   • All loans have been repaid in full.
   • Any prior guarantee to other members has been fully replaced before termination
4. Member can choose to retain their share capital in the Sacco or transfer it to another new or existing Sacco member.
5. Refund of member deposit is done after 60 days as per the by-laws
